from the Main Stream Media, the WISHies, the Central Avenue lawyers, the big-time lobbyists and the Chamber folks is that the Republican Party is losing and becoming insignificant because it is TOO conservative. They also have been saying that the country is center-left, instead of center-right. That is a lie that the facts confirm that this is all spin, spin, spin.

Of the main losses this past election, nearly ALL of the big losers were moderate Republicans, not conservatives. As you have witnessed, Growing Our Party did everything possible to support John McCain, but the spark that kept his hopes of winning alive was the conservative Sarah Palin. Without her on the ticket, he would have lost by ten percentage points and lost another 80 electoral votes, probably including Arizona.

The US Senate seats that Republicans lost had been held by moderate Republicans. Dole, Sununu, Warner, Domenici and Allard were all moderates - and their constituents became disenchanted with their lack of commitment to the Party Platform and the Reagan values. In addition, the seats that are still too close to call, Stevens and Smith,were, by and large, moderate pork barrel votes. Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann (R-Mn), of the Obama supports Socialist policies statement, even won reelection in spite of being unmercifully hammered by the media.

Looking closer to home, the Legislature will be decidedly more conservative for the next two years. Conservative candidates here fought the Obama/Nappy Blue Tide that included millions of Democrat Party, Union and Chamber money. Two years ago, the Republicans took a blood bath in this state, and nationally, because many of them, including our State Party, had been bought off by the money brokers.

This year - the year the Democrats were going to take over the House and, possibly, the Senate in Arizona - conservative Republicans defied the pundits and won across the state. Last weekend, it was the consistent rumor amongst the lobbyists and political gurus that conservatives Sylvia Allen, Carl Seel, Rick Murphy, Doug Quelland, Steve Montenegro, Frank Pratt, David Stevens, Al Melvin and Frank Antenori were all in deep trouble.

Those stories were being relayed so uniformly by the big money power brokers, that we were told by a respected conservative Republican elected official that the Democrats would control the House with 32 or 33 seats. We believe that prediction could have and probably would have happened if the moderate republicans had been successful in the Primary elections.

We lost two and possibly all three Corporation Commission seats because our candidates did NOT: send a clear message that they were not going to buy into the Global Warming scam; that they would reverse the renewable resource percentage wacko environmentalist boondoggle; that they would return common sense to the Commission rate hearing process; and send a clear message that their number one priority would be to protect the rate payers.

If Stump ends up squeaking this one out because of the original Bob Stump's conservative credentials, the Republican majority will need to heed the mood of the voters or we will lose the other two seats in two years.

Folks, Democrats win when they run against Republicans who are no different except for the party designation after their name. Money is not the determining factor, philosophy is. Two years ago in this state, the Republican Party was controlled in every aspect by the Central Avenue/Chamber crowd. Our Executive Director had already agreed to become the new leader of the Arizona Chamber that has been controlled by Napolitano and the amnesty crowd.

We lost six seats in the House and two senate seats, the Governor's race by the largest margin in the history of the state, the Attorney General's office because the republican candidates were supported by the monied illegal immigration apologists. The grass roots were turned off by the sellout to the amnesty proponents, and, in spite of a large edge in money at the state party, the Democrats beat our behind.

This year, the Democrats had all the money, all the media, all the union support, a large turnout of their base with Obama at the top of the ticket, but conservative Republicans, supported by the grass roots organizations and individuals, won across the state. The moderate Republicans who are still in office should take a long look at this reality of they could be at risk two years from now.

Of course, it will be up to the newly elected conservatives to walk their talk down at the Capitol. If they allow the lobbyists and other monied interests to influence them so that they act like the Republicans in Congress did over the last ten years, our legislators will suffer the same fate. Newt Gingrich and the 1994 Republican Revolution won with conservative values and the Contract with America, and lost when they did not keep faith with their own document.

We at Growing Our Party ask our newly elected legislators to remember this lesson from history and take the necessary steps to not repeat it. Stand Tall and Arizona will be the winner.

On January 17, 2007 Barack Obama gave an interview to the San Francisco Chronicle describing how he would bankrupt the coal industry in America.

It is important to remember that forty nine percent (49%) of the electricity generated in the United States is generated by coal fired plants.

The United States Military personnel supports McCain by more than a three to one margin. These brave Americans also are strong defenders of Israel and think America First.

The Arab Community supports Obama by almost a three to one margin. They are apologists for the terrorists who want to see Israel annihilated and think Muslim First. Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are even cold calling random American families imploring them to vote Obama.

A poll in France showed support for Obama 64% to 4%. A poll in Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Russia favored Obama over McCain 52% to 15%.

Arpaio in talking about the Republic, stated, "Last time they used the excuse that I didn't get along with their favorite County Attorney who would not enforce our laws. Now I get along well with our County Attorney, and they still don't like me. Quit blaming the federal government about the border. Andy Thomas and I have been able to do what needs done here. We simply enforce the law."

Andy Thomas said, "Joe is the only law enforcement who arrests illegal immigrants and sends them to me so I can prosecute them. I've been sued, picketed and vilified in the media for upholding the law that I swore to uphold."

Shadegg spoke about the fact that he has been targeted by the DCCC, asserting that the opponents are spending more money here than anywhere else in the country. He asked for the support of everyone for himself and other Republicans up and down the ballot.

It appears that there will be a contest for leadership in the District next month as a slate of candidates who wish to provide new leadership for the district was handed out to all in attendance. The slate consists of: Robert Gowens for Chairman, Keith Broadwater for 1st Vice Chairman, David Johnson for 2nd Vice Chairman, Joyce McClain for Treasurer, and Jamie Seel for Secretary.

The answer to that question on this last Monday of October will be decided by the American voters in eight days on November 4.

Obama also faulted Constitution for failing to dictate what government 'must do' for citizens and, further, criticized the Supreme Court for not breaking us free from the essential constraints of our Founding Fathers in regards to economic freedoms. Indeed, he said it's a tragedy the Constitution wasn't radically reinterpreted to force redistrbution of wealth for African Americans - and that it is still an issue. He also stated that legislative or administrative implementation was a more viable avenue for the implementation of the redistribution of wealth.

His litmus tests for Supreme Court appointees will include Pro-choice, but those supporting legislative and administrative implementation of socialism will be key. We, in Arizona have experienced executive (administrative) fiats by Napolitano that have been allowed to stand by a liberal State Supreme Court. This will be an avenue he will pursue at his first opportunity.

There are dozens of reasons to oppose the School Unification Plan put together under Marty Shultz. Having lived through the nightmare of sending three children through the Phoenix Union High School District, the thought of adding thirteen elementary districts to this monstrosity is scary.

If I had a child in Madison Elementary, the thought of being combined with Roosevelt Elementary under the umbrella of Phoenix Union would be appalling. Private schools would be the ONLY viable option to acquire a decent education for my children.

For educrats who do not have the competency to run the ship now, just imagine how they would handle the following additional challenges:

School districts will spend more of their budget for administration in the unified plan placed on the ballot. Worse, there are salary discrepancies between elementary and union districts that will add costs to create parity. And, benefit differences. And, performance pay plans. And, policies and procedures. Much worse, there are differences in taxes and bonding obligations between districts that will need to be resolved in any mergers. Will all of the individual bonding obligations be totalled and property tax liabilities equally applied across the whole district or will the original setup be maintained within a consolidated district? The bookkeeping will be a nightmare until that is resolved.

In addition to the financial issues, the loss of local control of our school districts would be detrimental to each student.

OBAMA CAMPAIGN RESPONSE: BLACKBALL THE TV STATION! Anyone want to guess what will happen if anyone questions any action of the Obama Administration - if the worst happens and he gets elected?

Thirteen campaign workers for Barack Obama yesterday yanked their voter registrations and ballots in Ohio after being warned by a prosecutor that they face FELONY charges for violating Ohio voter permanent residency requirements.

Obama Ohio spokeswoman Olivia Alair, James Cadogan and eleven other Obama staffers signed a form letter asking the Franklin County elections board to pull their names from the rolls. The letter came a day after prosecutor Ron O'Brien publicly urged out-of-state campaign workers for both Obama and John McCain to "examine your conscience" before the elections board begins opening absentee ballots today.

On Thursday, O'Brien cut a deal with 13 out-of-staters, including four from New York, who tossed out their already-cast ballots and admitted they didn't meet residency requirements. (I'll bet convenience market burglars would like to be warned they will be prosecuted if they don't stop committing burglaries.)

Military combat deaths in Iraq are now down to approximately one per week while homicides in Chicago are averaging over eight per week. This means the homicide death rate in the area Barack serves is now over 800% higher than that under the auspices of General Petraeus.

The reduction in military combat deaths has occurred as a direct result of the surge supported by McCain and opposed by Barack Obama. Obama's plan would have continued the high death rate of our soldiers. Is it possible this is because he wanted to keep the military deaths above Chicago's homicide deaths?

The bottom line is it seems like a good community organizer like BHO is needed back home to restore peace in his neighborhoods. It is also clear that our military cannot afford to be led by a person who has such a bad track record of protecting those under his authority.

Raise sole proprietor/partnership small business federal income tax rate from 37.9% to 50.3% (this number would increase to over 60% when including state and local income taxes. Now add the property taxes, sales taxes, phone taxes, gasoline taxes, personal property taxes, business license fees, etc.). Small business is the only sector of the economy that is currently growing jobs in America - 300,000 new jobs last month. The combined federal, state and local marginal tax rate would be the second highest only to Hungary in the world. Does anybody think that there will be sufficient after tax money for small businesses to continue creating new jobs under this plan?

IN ADDITION, WE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING ANTI-GROWTH POLICIES:

Send $500 in new cash payments every January to those who pay no income taxes (Otherwise, called the "Why should I get a real job?" payment)


Eliminate Bush Tax Cuts (In other words, increase current taxes on everybody)

Cut Military spending by 25% (per Barney Frank) to help pay for it.
